"To whom this may concern,

We hired John Leonard of Blue Rock Builders to be our general contractor. We found ourselves in a very desperate situation and having John involved was a blessing. We were having our home built by an unscrupulous builder. After many delays, a deteriorating working relationship and extra costs, this builder had a financial meltdown and could not continue the project beyond the beginning of the mechanical rough-in. I had to quickly assume the construction loan, acquire additional insurance coverage and look for another builder/general contractor to finish our home.

I initially asked John for a proposal, and ultimately chose him over two others. He came in and gave us an assessment where our construction stood and what it would take to finish. John interviewed all the tradesmen and vendors that were involved with our house. He gave us his opinion who we should continue with and not. He also found out if the previous builder was current with his payments to all those involved. We did not want to have any unexpected outstanding liens at closing.
